All For Your Baby

Nursery Beddings, Decor and Other Stuff For Your Baby

Having your first baby?  I’m sure you are all excited to set up a nice and cozy nursery.

Below are a few essential items you may want to consider for the nursery:

  • Crib – no matter what, the crib should conform to safety standards.  If you want to use an old crib, you can but just be sure the crib was built after 1991 when safety standards became mandatory in the US; place the crib in the darkest part of the room or if near a window, be sure to put some black-out shades
  • Color – crib color as well as the color of the walls of the nursery is preferably soft pastel (green, blue, pink or yellow)
  • Baby Monitor – trust me, you don’t want to go to the nursery 50 times in a day :) to see if your baby is awake or not
  • Diaper Pail – you don’t want to be making trips to the dumpster late at night or so early in the morning, do you?
  • Clock – while this may be obvious, a clock is so useful especially for scheduled feeding and medicines (in case your baby needs medication)
  • Rocking Chair (My Personal Favorite) – you’re going to spend a lot of time in your rocker with your baby so be sure it’s comfortable and sturdy enough

The above are just the bare essentials.  I’m sure you can think of a lot more :)
